My Portfolio

It took me a long time but I finally updated my portfolio. It's a temp site but it took me a long time to see how I was going to approach it. I actually thought of it during a shower.

Know?show Day 1

Rex is exhibiting at the Know?Show. I thought I would stop by to hang out with him for a bit.

Something about that show, maybe it's because it's small and because I am neither a retailer or an exhibitor makes it harder for me to just walk around and check out the other booths. I guess that is the way of the business.

I'm going to try to head back there for the next couple days to keep Rex company.

I remember when I first heard Dead Presidents Pt2. I was pretty damn hyped. At this time using Nas samples was the hot shit, kinda like having that voice thing that T-Pain does nowadays.

I bought Reasonable Doubt on tape, I got In My life Time Vol 1, I bought In My Life Time Vol 2. Then when Hard Knock Life came out I decided to skip that album. I guess it was songs like Sunshine and Hard Knock Life turned me off to Jay-Z.

Until I heard Jay-Z on all the Swizz tracks I got back in Jigga. From then on every 4th quarter I would look forward to a new Jay-Z record.

How he became one of the greatest Rappers ever slipped by me, much like How Lil Wayne got so big, it just went over my head at the time.

I gotta say that I'm a big fan of Jay-Z, I loved the Blueprint and I'm waiting for The Blueprint 3

dreams

I've been haing the most taxing dreams lately. They involve arguments whether a bike I was selling on craigslist was stolen. To full on action drama movie like dreams. Actually some of them are entertaining. I had this one dream where these guys were breaking into a bank and held a bunch of people hostage. The only way people got free was they swapped the detonator for the bombs with other bombs so it messed up the bombing sequences (I dunno it's a dream) then they kicked the door down and 30 hostages poured out into the streets. I was one of the hostages and was hesitant to leave but I finally got out. When we got out there was a dude with a machine gun that wanted to shoot everybody down, but someone pulled a Trinity from Matrix "dodge this" scene on him.



The dream is actually more complicated, there's also a huge section with a knife fight.

Overall if it was a movie it's would be dope as hell.

I also had a dream where I was fainting and falling as I was fainting in my dream I was slowly waking up in real life. Weird.

My Joint for late summer

I took a nap today, a long nap, a nice restful nap, it felt great until a wasp stung me on my chest. Now I have a swelled up area on my chest to go along with my mosquito bite on my neck that looks like a hickey. Anybody who seen me lately, it's not a hickey, it's a mosquito bite.

I watched The Dark Knight today. It was pretty damn good. But I gotta say there was a part in the movie where I thought it ended already, when it kept on going it caught me off guard.

August is going to be a busy month.

I don't normall get logo books, but I ended up getting a couple of these Logo Lounge Mini books. It's the shapes section that got me. I had to get it.
